The final document of the European project T.A.K.E. PART, acronym of “Transnational Activities for Key digital skills on Engagement and youth PARTicipation”, is available for free download. The prohect was realized by the Italian Institute for the Future and the European Movement Albania in 2019 thanks to a funding from the Erasmus+ action KA3 (Support to policy reform).

The Handbook on Key Digital Skills for Youth Participation collects all contributions produced by the 100 under-30 participants, coming from Albania and Italy, during the preparatory meetings and the two transnational seminars held in Naples in June and November 2019.

The aim of the Handbook is twofold: on the one hand it makes an analysis of the state of digital democracy in Europe through the study of some best practices (Decidim, LiquidFeedback, Participa, Rousseau) and strategies of participatory democracy in local contexts (Tirana and Naples); on the other hand it contains a wide range of proposals to enhance the active participation of young citizens in decision-making processes through digital tools in a 2030 perspective, with practical projects that local governments can draw inspiration for the development of their strategies of participatory democracy.

The Handbook also includes an extensive theoretical introduction by Mara Di Berardo, project expert, Italian head of the Millennium Project.
